The college has completed the journey of 43 years passing through many ups and down. In a fateful evening, 20th November, 2010,
the college building including Library was completely gutted into ashes. After that unfortunate incidence, the college was rebuilt
with the untiring effort, hard work and contributions of the then authority, faculties and staff.Within a few months the academic
session was resumed with its minimum infrastructure. The Higher Secondary Examination, 2011 and the TDC annual examinations, 2011
were successfully conducted in the college campus. The recovery stage of the college began slowly. Latter on, the sanction of UGC
Grant in 2011,helped the institution to overcome the setback caused by the outbreak of fire. The Grant under RUSHA -1.0 (2016-17
and 2017-18) expedited the physical infrastructure of the institution. One language laboratory, three (3) digital class rooms and
renovations of college buildings were some of the major works done under the RUSHA -1.0 Grant. During the Covid-19 (2020-21), the
college passed through another crisis. The college premise was used as quarantine centre for twice. As a consequence, newly
constructed girls’ hostels along with furniture were damaged and the language laboratory was affected with fungus for being not
used for a long-time. In the post covid-19 period we took care to repair and renovate the damaged property. Thus, the journey of
physical growth of Kharupetia College till date may be viewed as a journey of 15years only. At present, we have a well-equipped
computer lab, IQAC Office, partial automation library with KOHA software, video conference hall, eight (8) ICT class rooms, three
(3) interactive penal digital smart boards, digital notice board and central mike system. Thus, with the available resources, we
are trying our best to provide the modern facilities to our students. The college has completed the journey of 43 years passing
